Cavallo Nero

Terms, in plain English.

Plain English, same approach as the privacy notice. This is the legal frame around the site: what it is, what happens when you reach out, and how things work if we end up doing a project together.

What this site is.

Cavallonero.co is the public face of a small AI consulting business on the Olympic Peninsula. It's here to introduce me, the work I do, and the people I do it for.

Nothing on this site is legal, financial, accounting, or technical advice for your specific situation. If you need that kind of advice, talk to someone who knows your operation.

Two services run alongside the site: Cal.com handles booking and Resend handles contact-form email. Each runs under its own terms and privacy notice.

When we're actually working together.

Reaching out through the contact form, booking a Discovery Session, sending an email, having a phone call. None of that puts us in a contract.

We start working together when we both sign a written agreement: a scope letter for smaller projects, a master service agreement for ongoing engagements. That document spells out what's being done, who owns what, and what it costs.

Until then, conversations are conversations. No fee, no obligation, no expectations on either side.

Who owns what.

The words, the photos, the layout, the horse-mark logo, and the Cavallo Nero name on this site all belong to Cavallo Nero LLC. Linking to any page is fine and doesn't require asking. Lifting copy or images for use elsewhere does, so send me a note first.

Anything you tell me before we have a signed agreement (an idea, a problem, a description of how your operation runs) stays yours. Once we're working together, the scope letter or MSA we sign covers who owns the work I produce for you. Default position: you own the deliverables I make for your organization.

No guarantees.

I do good work and I stand behind it. What I won't promise is that a website, a workflow, an AI tool, or a recommendation will produce a specific outcome for your organization. Too much depends on things outside my hands: your team, your timing, the season, the market.

If something I build for you doesn't work the way it should, we'll fix it. That's the guarantee.

If something does go wrong in a way that ends up costing your organization money, my responsibility is capped at what you paid me for that engagement. I'm not on the hook for indirect or consequential losses (lost grants, lost sales, lost donors) that flow from work I did or recommended. This applies to my own work, to third-party tools I recommend, and to AI models that occasionally behave in ways no one can fully predict.

Where this lives legally.

Cavallo Nero LLC is a Washington State limited liability company. These terms and any work we do together are governed by Washington State law. Any disputes get worked out here, in Washington.

Questions about any of this? The address is jared@cavallonero.co. I read every email myself.

Short notice for a small business. If I ever need to update it, this page is where the update will live.
